Demonstration 3 - North Main Street, Cork
Whenever I go back to Ireland, I am struck by how dramatic - and changeable - the lighting can be. You need to have
camera at the ready at all times if you want to catch these fleeting moments. Here, late afternoon, the sun makes a brief
appearance through a gap in the dark clouds and lights up some buildings at the end of an otherwise dark rainy street.
The sun reflecting off the white building on the right appears to illuminate the yellow, red and green buildings opposite,
creating strong local colours. As usual, I was unable to marshal the motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to their assigned
places in time, so the final painting is a composite of several photos.
